8 ) Gran Torino
Shouldn’t Clint Eastwood be sitting in a rocking chair on a front porch handing out Werther’s Originals? Well this looks like it isn’t far from it, except he pulls out a gun every now and again to maintain that illusion of cool. |

7) The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button
What I can’t understand is how he was allowed to live without any one asking any questions like ‘Is there a way we can use whatever is happening to reverse aging?’ |
 |
6) Tropic Thunder
An American, playing an Australian, playing an African American dude. If that’s not funny in itself I don’t know what is. |
 |
5) Iron Man
The movie which brought Robert Downey Jr back into the spotlight, and with good reason. |
 |
4) Kung Fu Panda
For an animated film this had some real underlying motifs, such as how awesome it is! Upon watching this, you’ll be blinded by the awesomeness within. |
 |
3) Slumdog Millionaire
Admittedly I have not seen this film, but with all the hype and the awards it’s a bit hard not to include here. |
 |
2) WALL-E
When a film is able to communicate with the viewer with no dialogue for the majority of it, that film will always rate highly. The emotion that is conveyed and the imagery is beyond amazing, leaving you halfway through and realising you have only heard one word, but don’t really seem to care. |

1) The Dark Knight
Enough said. |
